Why Sleep No More.
After fourteen years, Sleep No More closes its NYC chapter. Punchdrunk's landmark immersive adaptation of Macbeth, set inside the McKittrick — a 100,000 sq ft labyrinth where a non-linear performance unfolds across six floors and three hours. Choose where to go, who to follow, what to miss.
The room, the artist.
Things to know.
Do I have to wear the mask?+
Yes, the mask is mandatory once inside. It separates you from the cast and from other guests.
Can I talk during the show?+
No. Silence inside is part of the contract. Talking gets you walked out.
Will I see everything?+
No — by design. The show is non-linear and unfolds in parallel across floors. You shape your own three hours.
Is it scary?+
Tense and atmospheric, occasionally intense, but not horror. There is mature content (partial nudity, simulated violence).
More theatre this month.
